Materials & Care

Founded in Lancashire, England in 1796, Thomas Mason makes some of the world’s finest cotton shirts. Patterns inspired by archival British textiles meet luxurious Italian fabrics in a 225-year-old tradition of innovative and refined excellence.

This fabric is woven in Italy, at Albini Mill, and is a cotton poplin with a lustrous satin finish. It’s a plissé, which is French for “crinkled” or “pleated,” and is a technique used to create clean, pleat-like ribs in the fabric.
