Tom Francis’ Tony Tuxedo
On Sunday, June 8th, actor Tom Francis wore a bespoke raisin-colored tuxedo designed by Todd to the Tony Awards. Francis had been nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Joe Gillis inSunset Boulevard.Based on Billy Wilder’s 1950 film of the same name, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical rendition (which first opened in London in 1993) follows a faded silent screen actress's encounter with a young screenwriter, Joe Gillis. The 2024 Broadway revival was nominated for 7 Tonys.

Tom also wore an “Opera” shirt (a variation on a tuxedo shirt) incream Italian crepe de chine,with a pleated bib and mother-of-pearl buttons. Black patent leather opera pumps by Baudoin & Lange and a matching raisin sueded linen butterfly bowtie completed his look.
